Exploring our Histories: “Making Alabama” & “A Sense of Place: Talladega’s Past”

A big thank you to everyone who made it out to Heritage Hall’s reception for “Making Alabama” yesterday! It was so great for us to witness the community coming together to explore and think about where we have been as both a county and state.

The Alabama Humanities Foundation’s, Making Alabama: A Bicentennial Traveling Exhibit, will be open at the museum until May 25 as it makes its way across the state this year. The display features eye-catching artworks that represent particular periods while corresponding kiosks offer visitors the chance to learn about each period of our state’s history.

We are also exhibiting, “A Sense of Place: Talladega’s Past”, so please take advantage of this opportunity to see how Talladega has contributed to this rich history.

Please look through our pictures from the event and plan your own visit to discover and learn about our state and local history!
