Service Guild of the Jemison-Carnegie Foundation

The purpose of the guild is to enrich, inspire, and promote awareness, appreciation, and knowledge of the arts for children, adults, members, and any others through a program of arts education which may include lectures, films, exhibits, and tours. The Jemison Carnegie Service Guild provides volunteers to serve as ‘Docents’ to support a variety of Museum programs. ‘Docents’ volunteer at the museum at least one day per month to welcome guests and answer questions about the museum and exhibits. They may also participate in many other museum programs, events, and exhibits, depending on their interests and the time available.

Docents are eligible to participate in all guild functions including lecture luncheons, exhibition receptions, and other social events.
