Sarah Durst
A local Talladega resident, Sarah Durst began professionally creating and making coats in 2017, followed by pottery in 2019. After finishing her Ph.D. in Education and Writing Studies (August 2019), Sarah and her husband, Andrew, moved to Talladega to pastor the Bible Methodist Church. Sarah currently works and creates from her home in the mountains of Talladega and is consistently inspired by God’s handiwork in the sunrises, sunsets and the deep red Alabama dirt.
Sarah’s calling to create beautiful pieces of usable art has garnered consistent attention online. Her coat collections are currently sold in her online shop, Potter’s Daughter. This is her first collection offered as art!
As stated on her website, “At Potter's Daughter we care deeply about human connection and story. We create timeless pieces for you and your home. From our quilt coats, to our home goods, to the heirloom quilts we care for and restore, we create slowly and methodically. We hope these pieces connect you to our shared histories and help you celebrate the magic of ordinary days.”
