Elena Crattic

Internally driven and emotionally charged, Ms.Crattic’s paintings and crafts have been described as “calming, alluring and uplifting simultaneously”. She is a skilled artist whose work catches the beauty of still life in a way which can be felt by her audience. Working with a wide variety of mediums such as oil paints, acrylic paints, paper mache’ and numerous artistic styles, Elena enjoys using her imagination and experimenting with different materials to achieve her desired outcome. Explosive abstract art paintings, contemporary mixed media art, spiritual paintings, stunning landscape paintings and crafts using household items and recycled materials are just some of the styles one would uncover when they delve into Crattic’s portfolio of works.

Elena is a self taught artist from Los Angeles, California. She graduated from Sacramento State University with a degree in Communications, a minor in art and business administration. Upon graduation she worked many years as a consultant for the government. In July of 2013, she returned to her southern roots in Childersburg, Alabama where she currently resides. She is the daughter of Childersburg native Willie Crattic, a wonderful mother of two children, Christina and Aaron, and a wife of her supportive husband, Vincent who accompanies her on trips and art festivals.

Ms.Crattic is an advocate of the visual arts and is highly respected throughout Alabama. She has served as an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, and has spent years supporting and serving as Secretary in performing arts programs at her children’s schools, Childersburg High School and Tuskegee University. She also serves as Executive Board Member at the Comer Museum in Sylacauga. Elena’s work has been displayed at the Rainwater Public Library in Childersburg, AL, the Comer Museum in Sylacauga, AL, and the Childersburg Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Elena is an avid festival attendee and has participated in the Coosa Fest, Oxfordfest, Plankhouse festival, Montevallo Art festival, Stuartville Festival and many others. Her main goal is to enrich the lives of others through her love of art by hosting free painting classes for both adults and children to learn about the fundamentals of painting and let their imagination reign.
